Nu-Skool Breaks set on Sirius Radio

What’s Coming In 2008?

Jan. 9 Update - New Mixes will be out this weekend. 

Starting with the next mix all torrents will be distrubuted through Mininova’s new Content Distribution service.  That means super-fast seeding on Mininova’s dedicated servers even for those old mixes with little or no seeds. 

Speaking of old mixes, I see that there are people still downloading the first New Wave mix. This week i’ll start re-releasing the New Wave mixes with higher bitrates and cleaned up mixes.   I also made some sound adjustments on the Nu-Skool breaks mix so that will be uploaded this week to Mininova and Xdrive, sorry to all the people who downloaded it already.

If anyone has any of my older mixes and they want to help out, please reseed some torrents.  All you have to do is download the torrent file, when your torrent client asks where you want to save, select the folder you have the mixed saved to. Thanks.

What’s Next?

It’s looking like the next mix will be another Old Skool Progressive Trance mix.  The last one had some house mixed in but this one is definitely all trance. I’m also working on the next Hybrid Mix, House mix, and another Hardcore Breaks mix.  I’ll start on a New Wave mix once I get enough songs together but it may take awhile, if you want to help feel free to send me requests or mp3’s

Some Stats…

I was sitting around today and I was wondering how many downloads all the mixes have and which were the most popular.  These numbers should be pretty accurate, maybe off by a few hundred.

Since May 8th, the day the first mix came out, there’s been close to 18,000 DL’s total.  On my own bittorrent client, I’ve uploaded 500gigs worth of mixes over my 60kB internet connection.  Interesting for me to see was which mixes were downloaded most.  I thought it would be New Wave but on average the Hardcore Breaks mixes have been DL 2500 times, while New Wave is 1200.  As for this site, It’s been up for about 10 days and it just hit 1000 views from just over 500 visitors.

Just thought i’d share some info, now back to the music!

Update: All Direct Links are finished, they should go much faster than the torrents.  I’ve tested them out and they all hit around 300KB/s. Let me know if any of them stop working. 

I know on some of the older mixes the torrents can go a little slow because there are only a couple of seeds. From now on all mixes will be uploaded online and they will have direct http download links. They will come as rar files and will contain the mp3 file and the cue file. For those who don’t know you can use a program like Winrar to extract the files.  And for those who still don’t know what the cue file is for check out Foobar.
